2 Margaritas Restaurant sits quietly off WA-106 in Union, serving up a hearty, full-flavored take on Mexican cuisine with a particular draw for diners seeking generous portions and a relaxed waterfront setting. This spot leans into a classic, slightly kitschy Mexican diner vibe that feels both approachable and a little nostalgic, making it easy to settle in for a casual meal with family or friends.

The menu offers a broad selection, with a special nod to traditional favorites such as Carne Asada, shrimp and seafood dishes like Camarones Monterrey and Seafood Chimichanga, as well as comfort items such as Chicken Enchiladas and Fajita Burrito Supreme. Portions are notably large, which pairs well with the laid-back, unfussy atmosphere. Guests regularly mention the Carne Asada with corn tortillas and shrimp fajitas as standouts, highlighting both flavor and satisfying serving sizes.

The dining space includes shaded outdoor seating that overlooks the nearby lake, providing a scenic backdrop that complements the meal and invites longer, leisurely visits-especially on a sunny afternoon or early evening. Inside, the décor embraces a uniquely old-school Mexican restaurant design with whimsical furniture that adds personality without pretension.

Service tends to be warm and attentive, accommodating families comfortably, including parties with young children. The chips and salsa arrive quickly, kicking off a meal that’s both flavorful and filling. Margaritas here make a distinct impression-served generously in large, colorful fishbowl-style glasses-with varieties like Peach and Cadillac offering something a little beyond the standard pour.

2 Margaritas feels best suited for those looking to unwind away from busier, more touristy corridors. It attracts locals and travelers who appreciate a down-to-earth atmosphere paired with authentic, well-seasoned Mexican dishes. Evening visits that coincide with open mic events add a layer of cozy community energy to the space, while daytime meals provide a peaceful scene alongside the water.

Overall, if you’re after a comfortable place to linger over hearty Mexican fare, with the bonus of a water view and generous drinks, 2 Margaritas provides a distinct experience that both celebrates and fits snugly into its waterfront Union setting.

I was excited to go here and it did not disappoint! Excellent service and a fun kitchy old school Mexican restaurant vibe. Chips, bean dip & salsa at the table right away. Big menu with lots of variety and combination plates. The food is good. The margaritas do not disappoint and are served in large fish bowl glass. I had two margaritas and enjoyed myself immensely. The vibe is legit.

This restaurant is off the beaten path around the Hood canal and offers excellent food. We stopped in for something different and were pleasantly surprised with huge portions of very delicious food!! Very friendly employees and a nice view of the canal. I had a shrimp fajita burrito and could barely finish it. We also had quesadias and enchiladas. This is a very good place to stop in and relax!!!

A fun, funky, and energized Mexican Cafe set on beautiful Hood Canal. Outdoor dining was packed, so opted for a booth. Very beautifully painted interior, booths, and stools. Even the restrooms were colorful...and clean. Service was friendly but infrequent...no one checked on water or how our meal was...due to busy outdoor customers? Overall the combination plates were delicious, ample, and served piping hot. Only downside was a "tough" chile in the rellano...had to use my pocket knife to cut. The rest of the rellano was scrumptious. The other dish, beef chimichunga was excellent and loaded. Bottom line...we enjoyed and will be back to checkout the extensive menu...and hopefully another song from Arturo.

The food was great! I had carne asada with a cheese enchilada. Two of my favorites. I've never been able to have both in a meal combo before, so I enjoyed that. The meal came with rice and beans also. The employees were very happy, kind and friendly. The atmosphere was amazing. We were able to sit outside where we could see the water. It was Beautiful!
